TES representatives go to selected theaters to record all the trailers that play before specific features. The TES representative then reports this information to the Los Angeles home office the same day. In instances, the representative will be asked to go to a theater complex and report all trailers currently shown with all features at the theatre.

This type of assignment may be completed in a very efficient manner. Since the trailers only run for approximately 20 minutes, that is generally the amount of time it takes to complete an assignment. However, if the feature is on more than one screen, the representative will have to check all of the screens showing the requested feature thus increasing their payment.
